So...are you saying that it's a waste of time and money to pursue a college education???! If a person is impoverished, the pursuit of education is a definite way to change their financial status. It allows access to greater opportunity. Don't we all know that? Hasn't having a Master's degree been beneficial in your own life?


Not at all! The meaning behind this post is to: not fool yourself. If you are learning just to learn that is one thing. Learning can be a hobby or pastime (and it is much more fulfilling than TV!). But if the goal is to increase income and one does not take the information learned and apply it, then they may deluding themselves.


Ok. Understood. In your opinion, what do I tell my son in his second year of college?


To not restrict his education to only what he learns and class and when he learns something that lines up with his goals do not hesitate in applying it!
