Having and Creating Self Employed Jobs
So what are the benefits of having and creating self employed jobs? Well, as I write this, I am sitting in my home office. This represents a commute of about 20 seconds: from my bedroom to my home office. A quick trip to my kitchen for a breakfast and I am ready to start my 2 hour work day! That’s right! My work day is 2 hours long! What a blessing!
You see we live in a day where, because of technology, we can create enough value in the marketplace in just a couple of hours to provide a full day’s worth of income. The other benefit is that you are truly your own boss. In this time where we have seen educated individuals who did all the right things (go to school, get a job, etc.) wind up on the streets as the result of a corporate layoff, this is a great benefit indeed.
In fact, if you are someone who not only can do it for yourself but also can help others create self employed jobs, you are what is considered a job creator which is a valuable entity in this world economy.
As you might expect, there are good self employed jobs and bad ones. How do you know which is which? Well assuming that what you want to do is legal, ethical and moral, there are 3 criteria that I will share with you that will determine which of the many self employed jobs is right for you.
The 3 criteria of successful self employed jobs
The first criteria is your mindset. As I mentioned before the good news is that you are your own boss. Well, if you do not have the right mindset, that can also be the bad news. No one is going to hold you accountable for showing up at a certain time and producing a particular result. You are going to have to do that for yourself. The goals and dreams that you have for your business will drive that. The truth is that “self employed jobs” are more than a job, it is truly having your own business.
The second criteria is finding something that produces results. Look for testimonials from people who have done something similar. As one of my mentors, Tony Robbins says, Success Leaves Clues! This is the truth! Often by following a road map of someone who has done what you are trying to do, you can create the same result in less time. This is done through a process Tony Robbins calls modeling. In future posts, I will cover this more in detail.
The third and final big criteria is that it is something you want to do. Listen I have seen people do all kinds of things just for the almighty dollar: Everything from trying to move a product they would not use themselves to doing in a way that was less than respectable. I once even saw a guy make and give out samples of a protein shake in a public bathroom! That is not the idea of self employed jobs I am trying to share here 🙂
Final Thoughts about Self Employed Jobs
It is true that with technology you can take advantage of many different types of self employed jobs. I was fortunate to not only finally find one that worked but also one that I could help people get for themselves without a lot of startup capital. I invite you to check out the best one I have ever found:
